Our Story!

"Our son Balram was 30 years old and passed on 9th August 2023 with 6 life threatening conditions and throughout his life about a dozen others.

He was developmentally delayed and was at an age of a 8 to 10 year old from "an understanding" point of view and was our baby. He was happiness personified, loved life to the fullest and made everyone he came in contact with happy, as well as those that didn't even meet him but just heard his voice or knew about him.

He had a number of challenges in his life and he was probably hospitalized for over 1 1/2 to 2 years of his life.

We are deeply saddened for the loss of our Balram but we are mortified that he passed in a huge amount of unnecessary pain, before his time and this was due to the lack of care, inappropriate medical treatment, and delay in appropriate treatment.

A coroner's investigation has now been opened by the coroner and the coroner is investigating the delays in Balram's treatment and the treatment itself'.

Jay's Quest For Justice

Jay has worked tirelessly since Balram's passing to get justice for his son's death and subsequently he formed 'Patients Lives Matter' in honour of Balram and to help others.

This was to make sure others don't go through the living hell he and his family have experienced.

We are delighted to host our 4th monthly fundraiser and eye opener for The Foundation, Patients Lives Matter ( PLM ) and achieve Justice for Balram. PLM is a registered Non Profit Making organisation Registered in the UK with Companies House Registration Number 15115629.

We have not set up as a Registered Charity as that would not be permitted under the rules of the Charities commission. The rules prevent the organisation firstly pursuing Justice for Balram and Secondly advocating for a change in the Law.

We invite you to join us for a enjoyable networking, socialising, fundraising, raising awareness and educational Weekend learning how Patients Lives Matter was formed following the tragic loss of Balram and the families efforts to get Justice for Balram and the Law Balrams Law passed and how you can help achieve this.

Balrams Law pleads that all Medical institutions are Independently regulated and ALL staff including admin, doctors, Nurse's and held accountable and culpable for their actions.

We want you to have fun, network, enjoy, learn about our cause and help us help others as the family cannot bring back their Balram but they do not want anyone else to unnecessarily suffer and be lost in the way Balram was and have to deal with the carnage thereafter.

Jay has said on MANY OCCASIONS:

โ€œI love our NHS. Balram was here 30 years because of our NHS and is sadly no longer because of the very same NHS. Our NHS needs our help and I strongly believe Balrams law will help make a monumental difference.โ€
